The Last Prairie Waltz: A Tribute to The Band and Canadian Made All Star Lineup 50th Anniversary Live Concert and Screening  (Winterruption YXE 2026) 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of critically acclaimed musical documentary “The Last Waltz” . This 2-part evening will include a live concert curated by Heidi Munro, featuring some of Saskatchewan's finest and most prominent musicians  in various performances of songs from the original concert.  These unique performances will be followed by a screening of the film. The Last Prairie Waltz celebrates the timeless and brilliant music of The Band, while shining a spotlight on the rich tradition of Canadian-made songs that continue to shape our culture. This powerful show brings together an all-star lineup of professional touring artists, songwriters, and legendary musicians who proudly call Saskatoon home. Spanning generations and crossing the boundaries of genres, this cast is united by a common bond: the music itself—the magic it creates, the mountains it moves, and the unforgettable songs it inspires.
